Introducing Cindy {She's Crazy Awesome!}

The other night, I was surfing around blogs and I came across a "new to me" blogger. I was so impressed by her cards! They are gorgeous! She is a brand new blogger and I wanted to connect with her to tell her how "crazy awesome" the work is on her blog!!

Her name is Cindy and her blog is called Stampin' An Ink Trail.

I hope you will grab this badge for your blog, Cindy.

I messaged her and asked her if I could promote her new blog. She said yes! So I asked her if I could share three of her cards...here they are...this is just a small sampling of her beautiful work! Be a blogging friend and go see her work! Become a Follower! I cannot wait to see more of her work!

Whimsy and Stars Studio {Best Witches!}

Today I am up on the Whimsy and Stars Studio blog, sharing my first Halloween card of the season!! I loved inking up this cute digi!!!

CAS-ual Fridays {Thanks So Much}

cfc112

The CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is to create a clean and simple card using Aqua, Orange and Green. At first I was stumped!! But then I thought about that adorable set from CAS-ual Fridays called "Wonderful Words" and the daisy image in it. I have actually made three different cards with this set in the last week and a half. I love it!

This is just a quick post tonight as I should be in bed...sleeping! LOL! I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and coloured the flowers with my Copics. Then I cut a small strip of orange paper and affixed it to one side. I added some gemstones here and there...and in real life they shine!

Shabby Tea Room and Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge

The days are zooming by! Only one week left of my summer holiday! This weekend, I will be heading into work on my classroom to be ready for my class on Wednesday. So happy!! With the arrival of school and Fall comes my need to craft!! I am so excited to get back into routine and work...call me crazy but I crave Fall weather, clothing and cooking!

The Shabby Tea Room has a fun inspiration photo...one that we must use the colours and the "tea" theme from! Well, I do not have many "tea" themed sets but I did remember I had a brand new set from Fresh Squeezed Stamps! So I went to work!

Then I found a quick and easy sketch that I LOVED and thought it would work perfectly for my card and teacup image! Score! The sketch comes from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is my clean card with a bright, pink flower!!! I am not sure if I love it but I had fun making it and it is another card for my stash!!!

{Supplies Used}
Inks: Copics, Black Memento
Papers: My Mind's Eye, Vanilla, Pink, Kraft
Extras: Flower Punch, Pearls, Corner rounder, Square Punch, Honeycomb Embossing folder

Before I go, I wanted to share a photo of my sweet "Penney". She has been with us for one week already and I am absolutely in love with this sweet girl!!! She actually helped me to make this card! She is my new "crafting buddy".

Smile {Retro Sketches and SRM Stickers}

The summer has flown by and I have actually spent very little time at my craft table. Many of the projects I have been sharing on my blog were created in late June and early July for Design Teams. It was so nice to play along with a challenge today, just for fun!!! So today I played along with Arielle's Retro Sketch. I was instantly inspired!!!

I probably won't be the only one to see a rainbow on this cool sketch! That is what quickly came to mind and so I dug through my scrap pieces to find Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Violet! The blue is actually now covered by the sentiment! LOL! But it is there!

I am so happy to be designing for SRM Stickers! Susan has made a sticker girl out of me! This week I am sharing all sorts of cards, and they all have stickers on them! LOL!!! I kinda feel bad for my ink pads! *wink* I created the panel for the SMILE sentiment by using my Ticket Corner Punch. Wow, that punch was dusty! I cannot remember the last time I used it but it was one of the first items I purchased when I first started stamping.

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: None
Inks: None
Papers: SU! DSP in Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Summer Starfrui, Wild Wasbi, Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Basic Black, Smoky Slate
Extras: Circle Punches-1 1/4" and 1 3/8", Ticket Corner Punch, Black Gems

The design team have created such awesome samples to get you into the Christmas Spirit...here we go...

Freshly Made Sketches #100 {Guest Designing and Prizes}

Wow!! Way back in August 2011, I decided to create another Challenge blog I named "Freshly Made Sketches". My first challenge blog "The Paper Players" was going well and I wanted to create a "sketch only" challenge based on CLEAN but not necessarily "simple" designs! At the beginning, I designed all the sketches and as time went on, the amazing team took over.
Freshly Made Sketches
Last Fall, I decided to take a break from Freshly Made Sketches because of work commitments and because I needed a change for me. It was hard to leave such an amazing group of ladies...who were and still are my friends.

Jennifer Timko and Jen Mitchell both stepped up and took on running the challenge for me! Wow! They do an amazing job of it and I am so proud of them!!! Thank you ladies for making Freshly Made Sketches a big success and for keeping the show on the road!

The team invited me to play along in their 100th challenge! Thank you ladies! And so I have made a card based on the very first sketch I created way back in 2011!

I hope everyone has a chance to play along this week because they've got prizes to give away!  Look at all the fantastic goodies donated by the FMS design team!

Seize the Sketch #2 {May Your Every Dream Come True}

Good morning! Today we have a new sketch from Seize the Sketch! Cathy is our sketcher this week and I just love the design she has given us to work with!!! I went to work, looking for some inspiration and I found it at the Shabby Tea Room.

We were to use the colours from the photo with some flower and material. I used some burlap! We are being sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays Stamps!! I was so excited to work with the stamp set called Wonderful Words. I was looking for a pretty sentiment stamp and this one caught my eye!!! How perfect is it for a birthday, wedding or congratulatory card!!

We hope you will join us for our second sketch at Seize the Sketch !! The team has created such awesome samples and I loved how we all approached the sketch differently!!!

This was so an exciting weekend for me! Yesterday my dear sister was married, on Saturday I attended my 20th high school reunion and today I rescued a 1 year old Calico cat from the SPCA!!! All in all, it was an amazing weekend!!! My sister is beautiful both inside and out. I hope every dream comes true for her and her lovely man. <3
